Hi !
I'm happy to annouce the version 0.9.8.2 of tableize is out !
You can get it here: tableize-0.9.8.2.tar.gz
tableize is C program that allows you to display formatted files in a table-like form. For example, consider the following "colon separated values" file:
$ more table.txt # Number (x):Logarithm (x+1):Sqare root (x):Power (x^2) 0:0.00:0.00:0.00 1:0.69:1.00:1.00 2:1.10:1.41:4.00 3:1.39:1.73:9.00 4:1.61:2.00:16.00 5:1.79:2.24:25.00 6:1.95:2.45:36.00 7:2.08:2.65:49.00 8:2.20:2.83:64.00 9:2.30:3.00:81.00 -:-:-:- Total:15.11:19.31:285.00
Then you can display it with tab:
$ tableize -d':' -a center table.txt +------------+-----------------+----------------+-------------+ | Number (x) | Logarithm (x+1) | Sqare root (x) | Power (x^2) | +------------+-----------------+----------------+-------------+ | 0 | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.00 | | 1 | 0.69 | 1.00 | 1.00 | | 2 | 1.10 | 1.41 | 4.00 | | 3 | 1.39 | 1.73 | 9.00 | | 4 | 1.61 | 2.00 | 16.00 | | 5 | 1.79 | 2.24 | 25.00 | | 6 | 1.95 | 2.45 | 36.00 | | 7 | 2.08 | 2.65 | 49.00 | | 8 | 2.20 | 2.83 | 64.00 | | 9 | 2.30 | 3.00 | 81.00 | +------------+-----------------+----------------+-------------+ | Total | 15.11 | 19.31 | 285.00 | +------------+-----------------+----------------+-------------+
You can also create titles, like:
$ echo -e "\nThis is my title!\n" | tableize -sca center -l 50 +------------------------------------------------+ | | | This is my title! | | | +------------------------------------------------+
Enjoy!
